MANIAGO ON SAFARI WITH KENYA'S MINISTER OF TOURISM
The Hon Najib Balala and his sons visited the Masai Mara during the migration over the weekend of the 16th of August,, organised by Duncan Muriuki Maniago Safaris' Managing Director and Chairman of the Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO),

The Minister became a "tourist" for a few days with Duncan as his "tourleader".
On arrival at the airstrip they were met by a lioness who sauntered accross the airstrip. The Minister also "experienced" an amazing balloon safari as they soured over the millions of gnus and zebras who have migrated into the Masai Mara, as well as a wonderful Masai ceremony while being entertained by hundreds of Masai warriors as they leapt in the air with their gutteral sounds.
They all stayed at the exclusive Leleshwa Camp. The small boutique camp has six luxurious tents with exquisite service and offers a variety of activities. The Minister said "This is the best camp I have ever stayed in".
The Minster and Duncan also organised for His Excellency the President of Kenya, Mwai Kibaki to fly in for a short safari with his grandchildren. Our Number One Tourist experienced, to his delight, the river crossing of the migrating gnus.
A lavish lunch was set up by Mara Serena Lodge in the bush near the Mara River, where everyone ate heartily, surrounded by the large herds.
